Tripod - Levelers
The idea of the levelers is pretty simple. I welded a nut at the bottom of each of the three tripod legs. A rubber booty is fitted over the bolt which screws into the bottom of the leg. The bolts can be screwed in or out to allow the tripod to be more precisely leveled. With the booties removed the bolts also serve to secure the tripod to the dolly (picture at right).

Although the tripod is a bit heavy, it is very sturdy. I wanted the tripod to be plenty strong so that I can use it for a longer, and thus heavier, jib/crane in the future.
