Stabilizer - Weights
Heavy washers are used to add weight to the bottom of the stabilizer and thus slow or prevent any rocking and swaying while the rig is in motion. The pictures below show some heavy flat washers that I have used as weights. Using these washers makes it easy to balance the weight so that the stabilizer rests perpendicular to level ground.

The washers are enough to handle the GL-2 that I use, but small gym weights can also be used in addition to the washers for heavier cameras. Two L-shape pieces of aluminum were placed inside the monopod tube and bolted into place. A wider length of aluminum flat bar was attached to the bottom of the two L-shape pieces. The washers/weights are held in place with a bolt and wing nut.
