Hand Held Stabilizer
I built the hand held stabilizer from some simple plans that I purchased from an ebay seller. They cost $20.00 at the time and were worth it. I don't remember the name of the company who sold the plans, but there are plenty of other plans out there. With some research, you probably won't need any plans at all. It takes some practice getting use to the stabilizer and to keep it steady, I guess that is why big productions hire a steady cam operator for such tasks. Because I purchased these plans, I can't give too many details as to how the stabilizer was built. The key components of the stabilizer are the monopod and the bearing. The gray colored arm support is of my own design and was not included with the plans.
