Snod35 V1 - Follow Focus
For a follow focus, I have been using the Indifoucs (below at left). Using a 35mm adapter creates a whole new challenge of maintaining focus on the subject. I would consider a follow focus a necessary tool when using a 35mm adapter. The image at center shows how you can block your shots and mark each necessary focus point on the Indifocus. The indifocus is a decent follow focus for the price. I have since purchased the Indifocus gear set to replace the foam wheel seen below in the image at left. I would strongly recommend using the gears instead of the foam wheel with 35mm lenses. The foam wheel will often slip if the 35mm lens has a tight focusing ring. The gears of course prevent this and work great.
